Silvers Suspension Coilover Options

Silvers Neomax S – Adjustable Street Coilovers

Best suited to: Daily-driven vehicles, modified street cars, weekend cruisers and occasional spirited driving.

Silvers Neomax S coilovers are the ideal entry point into the Silvers Suspension range, delivering the ride-height control and adjustability required for a properly set-up street car. Their monotube damper construction and broad damping adjustment allow the vehicle’s response to be refined around road conditions, tyre choice and driver preference. Independent lower-mount adjustment on compatible applications allows ride height to be changed without unnecessarily altering spring preload or reducing usable damper travel. This gives the vehicle a purposeful lowered stance while retaining the suspension movement needed for real-world roads. Choose Neomax S when you want improved steering response, reduced body movement and greater chassis control without moving into a specialised track or competition coilover. It is the most versatile choice for customers building a comfortable, responsive and visually improved street vehicle.

  • Primary use: Daily and performance street driving
  • Damper design: Monotube construction
  • Damping adjustment: 40 levels
  • Height adjustment: Adjustable lower mount where applicable
  • Spring adjustment: Adjustable spring preload
  • Camber adjustment: Front camber-adjustable top mounts on compatible strut applications

Silvers Neomax Black Edition – Stealth Performance Street Coilovers

Best suited to: Performance street cars, modified daily drivers and builds requiring a discreet all-black suspension finish.

Silvers Neomax Black Edition coilovers build on the street-focused capabilities of the Neomax S with an all-black finish and a simplified damping range. Every major visible component receives the Black Edition treatment, including the damper body, inner shock tube and applicable top mounts, creating a clean and understated appearance behind the wheels. Twelve clearly defined damping positions make it faster and easier to make meaningful adjustments without working through a large number of closely spaced settings. This makes the Black Edition ideal for owners who want to switch between a more compliant road setting and a firmer performance setup with minimal guesswork. Choose Neomax Black Edition for a responsive road car where appearance, usable adjustment and straightforward setup are equally important. It retains the essential height, preload and application-dependent camber adjustment expected from the Neomax range.

  • Primary use: Performance street driving
  • Appearance: Stealth all-black finish
  • Damping adjustment: 12 clearly defined levels
  • Height adjustment: Full height adjustment where applicable
  • Spring adjustment: Adjustable spring preload
  • Camber adjustment: Front camber-adjustable top mounts on compatible applications

Silvers Neomax Super Low – Extreme-Low and Stance Coilovers

Best suited to: Stance builds, show cars and vehicles requiring substantially more lowering than a conventional street coilover.

Silvers Neomax Super Low coilovers are assembled specifically for customers who want an aggressive, low vehicle stance while retaining the control and adjustability of a complete coilover package. Shortened components and application-specific configuration allow compatible vehicles to achieve a lower ride height than the standard Neomax ranges. Firmer springs help limit excessive suspension movement and reduce the likelihood of the wheel or tyre contacting the body when the available clearance is restricted. Neomax Super Low still includes damping adjustment, ride-height control and front camber adjustment where the suspension design allows it. Choose Super Low when visual stance and maximum lowering are the primary objectives. This range is not intended to provide the same ride comfort, ground clearance or suspension travel as a conventional street setup, so wheel fitment, tyre clearance and underbody clearance must be considered before installation.

  • Primary use: Extreme lowering, stance and show vehicles
  • Height range: Configured for greater lowering than standard Neomax kits
  • Spring setup: Firmer rates to limit unwanted suspension movement
  • Damping adjustment: Adjustable
  • Height adjustment: Full adjustment where supported
  • Camber adjustment: Front adjustment on compatible applications

Silvers Neomax R – Custom Track-Day Coilovers

Best suited to: Track-day vehicles, time-attack builds, hillclimb cars, supersprint vehicles and performance cars requiring a custom spring and damper setup.

Silvers Neomax R coilovers move the range into genuine track-focused suspension. Built on the adjustable Neomax platform, the R specification uses higher-viscosity damper oil to improve temperature resistance and consistency during demanding driving. This helps the dampers maintain more predictable behaviour as heat builds through repeated braking, cornering and acceleration. Neomax R kits can be configured with spring rates selected around the vehicle, tyre, weight and intended motorsport discipline, allowing the suspension to better support a specific build rather than relying on a universal setup. Compatible MacPherson-strut applications may also include rear camber-adjustable top mounts in addition to front adjustment. Choose Neomax R for a vehicle that still uses a conventional single-adjustable coilover layout but requires greater track capability, custom configuration and thermal stability than a street-oriented Neomax kit.

  • Primary use: Track days and club-level motorsport
  • Damper oil: Higher-viscosity 20W oil
  • Key benefit: Improved temperature resistance under sustained use
  • Spring rates: Customisable to suit the vehicle and intended application
  • Damping adjustment: Single-adjustable configuration
  • Camber adjustment: Front and application-dependent rear adjustable top mounts

Silvers Neomax Competition 2-Way Adjustable – Motorsport Coilovers

Best suited to: Dedicated circuit cars, time-attack vehicles, drift cars, professional motorsport and drivers requiring independent compression and rebound adjustment.

Silvers Neomax Competition 2-Way Adjustable coilovers are designed for serious competition vehicles requiring more precise chassis control than a single-adjustable damper can provide. Separate adjustment of compression and rebound allows the suspension to be tuned around corner entry, braking stability, kerb response, traction and weight transfer without forcing every change through one combined control. External reservoirs increase available damper-oil volume and improve temperature management during prolonged high-load operation, although reservoir availability and placement depend on the space available within each vehicle. Built from the Neomax R platform, the Competition 2-Way range also benefits from higher-viscosity damper oil, custom spring-rate selection and application-dependent camber-adjustable mounts. Choose this system when data, driver feedback and track conditions will be used to optimise the suspension and outright competition performance is more important than simple road adjustment.

  • Primary use: Dedicated motorsport and professional competition
  • Rebound adjustment: 40 levels
  • Compression adjustment: 24 levels
  • Reservoirs: External oil reservoirs where vehicle packaging permits
  • Damper oil: Higher-viscosity 20W oil
  • Spring rates: Customisable to suit the vehicle and competition discipline

Neomax S vs Neomax Black Edition

Neomax S is the conventional street-focused option and provides 40 levels of damping adjustment. It is best suited to customers who want a broad adjustment range and the ability to make smaller changes to suspension response.

Neomax Black Edition provides the same core street-adjustable platform with a completely black finish and 12 more clearly separated damper settings. It is ideal for owners who value stealth styling and prefer fewer, more noticeable adjustment steps.

Neomax S vs Neomax Super Low

Neomax S should be selected when handling, road comfort and practical lowering are the priorities. It offers the suspension travel and compliance required by a regularly driven vehicle.

Neomax Super Low is designed around an aggressive lowered stance. Its shorter configuration and firmer springs are intended to control movement where tyre and body clearance are limited. Customers selecting Super Low should expect reduced ground clearance and a firmer driving experience.

Neomax S vs Neomax R

Neomax S is the better choice for a vehicle used primarily on public roads. Its standard road-oriented configuration offers useful body control without adding unnecessary motorsport-focused stiffness or complexity.

Neomax R is intended for drivers who regularly expose the suspension to higher temperatures and loads. Custom spring rates, higher-viscosity damper oil and application-dependent rear camber adjustment make it the more appropriate option for track days and competitive events.

Neomax R vs Competition 2-Way Adjustable

Neomax R uses a simpler single-adjustable format and is appropriate for most track-day and club-level motorsport vehicles. It provides a customisable setup without requiring the driver to tune compression and rebound separately.

Competition 2-Way coilovers allow independent adjustment of compression and rebound damping. This gives an experienced driver or suspension technician more control but also introduces more setup complexity. The 2-Way range is most beneficial when the vehicle is regularly tested and adjusted using lap times, tyre data and driver feedback.

Adjustable Ride Height

Silvers coilovers use application-dependent height-adjustment systems to set the vehicle’s stance and centre of gravity. On kits with an adjustable lower mount, ride height can be changed without using spring preload as the primary height adjustment.

Ride height should be selected around suspension travel, tyre clearance and chassis geometry rather than appearance alone. Excessive lowering can reduce bump travel, increase bump-steer, cause tyre contact and place additional stress on driveshafts, ball joints and suspension bushes.

The lowest physically achievable position is not necessarily the lowest safe or effective operating height. Neomax Super Low should only be selected where maximum lowering is a deliberate part of the build.

Damping Adjustment

Adjustable damping allows the suspension response to be refined around tyre choice, vehicle weight, road surface and intended use. Softer settings can improve compliance over rough roads, while firmer settings can reduce body movement during aggressive driving.

Increasing damping does not automatically increase grip. Excessive damping may prevent the tyres from following uneven surfaces and can make the vehicle less predictable. Begin from the manufacturer’s recommended settings and make small, measured changes.

Competition 2-Way systems should be adjusted by a driver or technician who understands the separate influence of compression and rebound damping. Record every adjustment so that effective settings can be repeated.

Camber Adjustment

Camber-adjustable top mounts are supplied only where the vehicle’s suspension design allows camber to be adjusted through the strut top. This is commonly possible with MacPherson-strut suspension but not with every multi-link or double-wishbone platform.

Neomax S, Black Edition and Super Low kits may include adjustable front mounts where applicable. Neomax R and Competition 2-Way kits may also include rear camber-adjustable mounts where the rear suspension design permits.

Additional control arms, camber bolts or adjustable bushes may still be required to achieve the desired alignment range on some vehicles.

Custom Spring Rates

Neomax R and Competition 2-Way coilovers can be configured with spring rates selected around the intended use. The appropriate rate depends on vehicle weight, weight distribution, tyre grip, aerodynamic load, circuit surface and driver preference.

Higher spring rates are not automatically faster. Springs that are too stiff may reduce mechanical grip and make the vehicle difficult to control over bumps or kerbs. Springs that are too soft may allow excessive body movement or cause the suspension to run out of travel.

Provide accurate information about the vehicle and its intended use when ordering a custom configuration. Significant weight reduction, engine conversions, aerodynamic components or changes in tyre construction should be disclosed before the spring rates are selected.

Professional Installation and Wheel Alignment

Silvers Suspension coilovers should be installed by a workshop experienced with adjustable suspension. All mounting points, bushes, ball joints, wheel bearings, sway-bar links and related hardware should be inspected during installation.

Brake hoses, ABS wiring, driveshafts, tyres and suspension arms must be checked throughout the full steering and suspension range. Fasteners should be tightened to the correct specifications, and locking collars must be secured after ride height and spring preload are set.

A professional wheel alignment is required after installation. Ride height, collar tension and alignment should be rechecked once the suspension has settled.

Corner Weighting and Motorsport Setup

Track and competition vehicles can benefit from professional corner weighting. This process adjusts individual spring platforms to improve the distribution of load across the tyres in the vehicle’s normal operating condition.

The vehicle should be corner weighted with the expected driver weight, fuel level and permanent equipment installed. Corner weighting is particularly valuable for Neomax R and Competition 2-Way installations where consistent balance and tyre loading directly affect performance.

Important Product Information

Available Silvers coilover ranges, top mounts, spring rates and adjustment features vary between vehicle applications. Product images may be generic and may not show the exact suspension design supplied.

External reservoirs are not available on every Competition 2-Way application because some vehicles do not provide sufficient space for installation.

Some factory components may need to be transferred to the new suspension. Other vehicles may require separate sway-bar links, adjustment extensions, control arms or associated hardware.

Aftermarket coilovers may affect ground clearance, wheel alignment, tyre wear, driver-assistance calibration and local roadworthiness compliance. It remains the vehicle owner’s responsibility to ensure the completed installation complies with applicable regulations.
