Shipping & Delivery Information

At Symmetry Spec Pty Ltd, we are committed to processing and dispatching orders as efficiently as possible while providing transparent delivery information to our customers.

This Shipping Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service, Returns & Refund Policy and any applicable Terms and Conditions of Trade.

1. Order Processing & Dispatch

Orders are typically processed and prepared for dispatch within one to two (1–2) business days following payment confirmation.

Business days exclude weekends, public holidays and periods during which our suppliers or freight partners are unavailable.

While we strive to meet estimated processing times, delays may occasionally occur due to factors such as:

high order volumes;
promotional or sales events;
supplier fulfilment delays;
inventory discrepancies;
carrier disruptions; or
other unforeseen circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where significant delays arise, Symmetry Spec will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed.

All dispatch timeframes are estimates only and should not be interpreted as guaranteed delivery commitments.

2. Delivery Timeframes

Delivery times vary depending on a range of factors, including:

the freight service selected;
product availability;
supplier lead times;
destination location;
regional accessibility; and
freight carrier performance.

Estimated delivery dates provided by freight providers are indicative only and may change without notice.

Symmetry Spec cannot guarantee delivery within a specific timeframe unless expressly agreed in writing.

3. Supplier-Sourced, Special Order & Backorder Products

Many products supplied by Symmetry Spec are sourced from Australian and international manufacturers and distributors.

Where a product is:

temporarily out of stock;
on backorder;
sourced specifically for a customer; or
delayed by a supplier,

we will endeavour to notify the customer as soon as reasonably practicable.

Depending on the circumstances, available options may include:

waiting for the product to become available;
selecting an alternative product where suitable;
receiving a refund; or
another remedy available under Australian Consumer Law.

Please note that special-order, supplier-indent, made-to-order or custom-sourced products may not be eligible for cancellation once procurement or production has commenced.

4. Shipping Information & Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all shipping, billing and contact information provided at checkout is complete and accurate.

Where incorrect information is supplied, Symmetry Spec is not responsible for:

delivery delays;
failed delivery attempts;
parcels returned to sender; or
additional freight charges incurred as a result of incorrect information.

Any costs associated with address corrections, redelivery attempts or return freight may be payable by the customer.

If an error is identified after an order has been placed, customers should contact us immediately. While we will make reasonable efforts to assist, amendments may not be possible once processing or dispatch has commenced.

5. Authority to Leave (ATL)

Where a customer authorises a freight carrier to leave a shipment unattended at the delivery address ("Authority to Leave" or "ATL"), responsibility for the shipment passes to the customer once the carrier records the parcel as delivered.

By selecting or approving ATL instructions, customers acknowledge and accept the risks associated with unattended deliveries, including:

theft;
loss;
weather-related damage; and
damage caused by third parties after delivery.

Symmetry Spec cannot accept responsibility for items successfully delivered in accordance with an approved ATL request.

6. Transit Delays, Lost Freight & Shipping Damage

If a shipment is lost, arrives damaged or experiences a significant transit delay, customers should contact Symmetry Spec as soon as possible.

Where appropriate, we will assist by:

initiating carrier investigations;
lodging freight claims;
providing supporting documentation; or
facilitating communication with the freight provider.

While we will make reasonable efforts to assist, Symmetry Spec is not responsible for delays arising from circumstances beyond our control, including:

freight carrier disruptions;
customs processing delays;
severe weather events;
industrial action;
transport network interruptions;
supplier delays; or
force majeure events.

Nothing in this policy excludes any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.

7. Freight Charges

Shipping costs are calculated based on factors including:

package dimensions;
shipment weight;
delivery destination;
freight carrier rates; and
the service level selected.

Additional freight charges may apply for:

oversized or bulky items;
heavy freight shipments;
remote or regional delivery locations;
dangerous goods classifications; or
customer-requested delivery arrangements.

Where additional charges are required beyond the amount paid at checkout, we will contact the customer for approval prior to dispatch wherever reasonably practicable.

8. Partial Shipments & Split Deliveries

Where an order contains multiple products and one or more items are unavailable, Symmetry Spec may determine the most appropriate fulfilment method, including:

holding the order until all products are available;
dispatching available items separately; or
arranging multiple deliveries.

Where additional freight costs may apply for split shipments, customers will be consulted prior to dispatch wherever possible.

9. Collection Orders (Click & Collect)

Where collection services are offered, customers may collect approved orders from our nominated premises after receiving confirmation that their order is ready for collection.

For security purposes, photo identification may be requested before goods are released.
