MCA Suspension Coilovers – Australian-Developed Street and Motorsport Suspension

Transform your vehicle’s handling, ride quality and driver confidence with MCA Suspension coilovers. Developed in Australia through decades of road, rally, circuit, drift and time-attack experience, MCA coilovers are engineered around complete vehicle behaviour rather than simply lowering ride height or increasing spring stiffness.

The MCA Pro Series allows you to choose the balance of comfort and performance that best suits your vehicle. From refined daily drivers through to dedicated circuit cars, each coilover range receives application-specific springs and damping designed around its intended use.

MCA coilovers offer adjustable ride height, adjustable damping and application-dependent camber adjustment, giving owners the ability to improve stance, steering response, body control and tyre contact while retaining a suspension package suited to Australian road and track conditions.

Select the required MCA coilover series from the available variants and confirm your vehicle details before ordering.

MCA Coilover Options

MCA Pro Comfort – Maximum Road Comfort

Best suited to: Daily-driven vehicles, prestige cars, weekend cruisers and owners wanting improved handling without a harsh coilover ride.

MCA Pro Comfort coilovers are designed for drivers who want adjustable ride height and sharper vehicle control while retaining a high level of comfort on the road. Rather than relying on excessively firm spring rates, the Pro Comfort package uses MCA’s road-focused damping development to control the chassis without making the vehicle unnecessarily nervous or unsettled over bumps. This makes them an excellent upgrade for daily drivers that need to remain comfortable through commuting, highway travel and imperfect Australian road surfaces. Pro Comfort coilovers reduce excessive body movement, improve steering response and give the vehicle a more planted feel while maintaining the compliance required for regular use. Choose Pro Comfort when road manners are the priority and you want the appearance and control of premium coilovers without turning your vehicle into a compromised track car.

MCA Pro Circuit – Dedicated Track Performance Coilovers

Best suited to: Circuit cars, time-attack vehicles, supersprints, regular track-day cars and builds where lap-time performance is the priority.

MCA Pro Circuit coilovers are designed for vehicles that spend significant time on the racetrack and require suspension focused on grip, control and repeatability under competition conditions. Based on MCA’s extensive circuit testing and motorsport experience, the Pro Circuit package prioritises chassis response and tyre control over the road comfort delivered by the other Pro Series options. The damping and spring package is intended to support repeated high-speed braking, aggressive direction changes and sustained cornering loads while providing the driver with predictable feedback. Pro Circuit coilovers remain suitable for vehicles that may occasionally travel on the road, but they should be selected with the understanding that circuit handling takes priority over everyday refinement. Choose MCA Pro Circuit when track performance is the primary objective and the vehicle requires a focused suspension system capable of supporting semi-slick or competition tyres.

  • Primary use: Circuit racing and regular track use
  • Comfort level: Firm and performance focused
  • Handling focus: Maximum circuit control and repeatability
  • Recommended events: Time attack, circuit sprint, club racing and track days
  • Tyre suitability: Performance road tyres, semi-slicks and competition tyres
  • Priority: Track handling over street comfort

  • Regular track-day or circuit vehicle: MCA Pro Circuit
  • Dedicated time-attack or competition build: MCA Pro Circuit

MCA Pro Comfort vs Pro Street

Choose Pro Comfort when ride quality and everyday usability are the main priorities. Pro Comfort still improves body control and steering response, but its damping is developed to absorb road imperfections and minimise the harshness commonly associated with entry-level coilovers.

Choose Pro Street when you are prepared to accept a slightly firmer ride in exchange for sharper steering, reduced body movement and a more performance-focused driving experience. Pro Street remains suitable for frequent road use but places greater emphasis on handling response.

MCA Pro Street vs Pro Sport

Pro Street is the stronger choice for vehicles used almost exclusively on public roads. It delivers responsive handling without requiring the track capability or firmer setup of the Pro Sport package.

Pro Sport should be selected when the vehicle will participate in occasional motorsport or when the owner wants a more aggressive road setup. Its wider performance envelope makes it the better all-rounder for cars that divide their time between street driving and competitive events.

MCA Pro Sport vs Pro Circuit

Pro Sport is designed to balance road usability with entry-level motorsport performance. It is the preferred choice when the vehicle still covers regular street kilometres, carries passengers or needs to remain manageable over uneven roads.

Pro Circuit prioritises track grip, chassis response and sustained high-load performance. It is the correct choice when lap times and circuit behaviour matter more than low-speed ride quality. Selecting Pro Circuit purely because it is the most track-focused option may result in unnecessary compromise for a predominantly street-driven car.

Adjustable Damping

MCA Pro Series coilovers feature hard-to-soft damping adjustment, allowing the driver to alter suspension response to suit vehicle use, road surface and tyre choice. Softer settings may improve compliance on uneven roads, while firmer settings can provide additional body control during spirited driving or circuit use.

Damping adjusters should be changed in measured increments and evaluated under consistent conditions. The hardest possible setting is not automatically the fastest or safest. Excessive damping may reduce grip by preventing the tyre from following changes in the road or track surface.

Front and rear settings do not necessarily need to match. The correct balance depends on vehicle weight distribution, spring rates, tyre construction, alignment and driver preference.

Ride-Height Adjustment

MCA coilovers provide application-dependent ride-height adjustment, allowing the vehicle’s stance and centre of gravity to be refined. Ride height should be selected around available suspension travel, tyre clearance, roll centre, bump-steer behaviour and practical ground clearance rather than appearance alone.

Excessive lowering can reduce bump travel, create tyre interference and move suspension geometry outside its effective range. A professionally selected functional ride height will generally provide better handling and ride quality than positioning the vehicle at the lowest available setting.

Always follow MCA’s height-adjustment procedure for the specific suspension design. Vehicles with a separate rear spring and damper may require a different process from conventional coilover-strut applications.

Camber Adjustment and Wheel Alignment

Application-dependent MCA kits may include adjustable front strut tops or other camber-adjustment provisions. Additional negative camber can improve tyre contact during cornering, particularly on lowered vehicles and cars used with performance tyres.

The available hardware varies between vehicle platforms. Some vehicles use suspension designs that do not permit camber adjustment through the upper mount and may require separate control arms, bushes or alignment components.

A professional wheel alignment is required after installation. Alignment settings should be chosen around tyre type, ride height and vehicle use. Street vehicles generally require conservative settings to maintain stability and tyre life, while competition cars may benefit from more aggressive camber, caster and toe configurations.

Australian Suspension Development

MCA Suspension was established by Australian rally champion Murray Coote and has built its reputation through competition development across rally, circuit racing, time attack and other demanding motorsport disciplines.

This experience allows MCA to develop suspension around real vehicle behaviour, including weight transfer, tyre control and available grip. Rather than creating one universal damper and changing only the mounting hardware, each application is configured around the vehicle and intended category of use.

MCA’s motorsport knowledge is reflected throughout the Pro Series, allowing street-focused customers to access engineering and damping principles developed through competitive use.

Professional Installation Recommended

MCA coilovers should be installed by a workshop experienced with adjustable suspension. Installation must include inspection of the suspension bushes, ball joints, wheel bearings, top mounts, sway-bar links and associated fasteners.

All components must be correctly tightened at the specified ride height and torque settings. Brake hoses, ABS wiring, driveshafts, tyres and suspension arms must be checked throughout their full range of movement to ensure they do not stretch, bind or contact adjacent components.

Following installation, the vehicle requires a wheel alignment. Ride height and alignment should be rechecked after the suspension has settled and following its initial period of use.

Corner Weighting and Setup

Performance and competition vehicles can benefit from professional corner weighting after installation. Corner weighting adjusts the distribution of load across the tyres to improve balance and consistency during braking, cornering and acceleration.

The vehicle should be corner weighted in its normal operating configuration, including the expected fuel load, driver weight and any permanent equipment. This process is particularly valuable for track and competition builds but can also improve the balance of heavily modified street vehicles.

Important Product Information

Available MCA coilover series, mounting components and adjustment features vary between vehicle applications. Product images may be generic and may not represent the exact mounting design supplied for the selected vehicle.

Some factory components may need to be transferred to the MCA assembly. Other applications may require replacement top mounts, sway-bar links, adjustment extenders or additional suspension components. Check the individual product configuration before purchase.

Spring rates and damping specifications are selected around the intended application. Do not substitute springs or alter preload without understanding how the changes will affect suspension travel, damping control and vehicle balance.

Lowering a vehicle may affect ground clearance, wheel alignment, headlight aim, driver-assistance calibration and the life of associated suspension components. Local registration and roadworthiness requirements remain the responsibility of the vehicle owner.
