Toyota Supra A90 Performance Parts & Upgrades

The Toyota Supra A90 represents the return of one of the most iconic names in automotive performance. Combining Toyota's motorsport heritage with modern engineering and the renowned BMW-sourced B58 turbocharged inline-six engine, the A90 Supra has quickly become one of the most popular platforms for enthusiasts seeking exceptional performance, tuning potential, and everyday drivability. With a perfectly balanced chassis, rear-wheel-drive layout, and a powertrain capable of producing substantial gains with minimal modifications, the A90 Supra provides an outstanding foundation for building the ultimate street or track-focused machine.

One of the biggest reasons the A90 Supra has become so highly regarded within the performance community is the incredible capability of the B58 engine. Even in factory form, the platform delivers impressive power and responsiveness, but it truly comes alive when paired with carefully selected aftermarket performance upgrades. For many owners, a performance induction system is one of the first modifications. Upgrading to a high-flow intake or carbon fibre intake system improves airflow to the turbocharger, sharpens throttle response, enhances turbo induction sound, and prepares the engine for future power upgrades.

A premium aftermarket exhaust system is another essential modification for the A90 Supra. Performance cat-back exhaust systems, valved exhausts, and lightweight titanium exhaust upgrades improve exhaust flow while unlocking the aggressive exhaust note many enthusiasts feel the factory system lacks. Reduced back pressure helps support additional horsepower and torque, while premium materials contribute to overall weight reduction and improved aesthetics.

As power levels increase, cooling upgrades become increasingly important. Performance intercoolers, charge pipes, and upgraded cooling components help maintain lower intake temperatures and consistent performance under demanding driving conditions. Whether used for spirited road driving, drag racing, or track days, improved thermal management is one of the most effective ways to maximise both performance and reliability from the turbocharged B58 engine.

ECU tuning remains one of the most rewarding modifications available for the A90 Supra. Combined with supporting intake, exhaust, and cooling upgrades, professional tuning can unlock significant power gains while maintaining excellent drivability. The platform has proven capable of producing remarkable horsepower figures, making it one of the most exciting modern performance cars for enthusiasts seeking substantial performance improvements.

Handling upgrades also play a crucial role in transforming the Supra driving experience. Premium coilovers, lowering springs, sway bars, suspension arms, and chassis bracing components improve cornering performance, steering response, and overall vehicle balance. Paired with lightweight forged wheels and high-performance tyres, the A90 Supra becomes an even more capable and confidence-inspiring sports car.
