Australian manufacturer Go Fast Bits develops turbocharging, pressure-control and associated performance hardware for enthusiasts who value dependable operation and well-considered engineering. This adjustable short-throw shifter is intended to address a specific function within a properly matched vehicle or performance build.

Application-Specific Engineering

This product is best assessed by the job it performs within the complete system. GFB designed the shifter category around adjustable shift lever movement on the applicable manual gearbox, making it relevant to drivers seeking a more direct connection to their transmission. A successful upgrade starts with correct dimensions, interface matching and appropriate installation methods rather than relying on generic claims about horsepower or driving feel.

Its principal functional benefit is a more purposeful manual gear-change feel. Developed for the specified five-speed manual gearbox family; gearbox identification matters because shifter mechanisms can differ between years and transmission versions. Avoid applying specifications from similar-looking GFB products to this exact SKU, especially where connection sizes, spring ratings, fuel-system requirements or mounting points differ.

Key Features & Benefits

Product identity: GFB Shifter component, part number 4005.

Intended function: Adjustable short-throw shifter for the applicable installation.

Engineering focus: Adjustable shift lever movement on the applicable manual gearbox.

Use case: Suited to drivers seeking a more direct connection to their transmission.

Application matching: Confirm the exact model, system interface and any required supporting hardware before purchase.

Installation approach: Follow the specific GFB installation instructions and check associated seals, hoses and fasteners as applicable.

Vehicle Fitment & Compatibility

The supplied catalogue associates this product with Subaru WRX 08-14 (5MT).
